Hammock Grove
This fun-to-knit, two-color, asymmetrical shawl is worked from one point, increasing outward. The body of the shawl is worked in a combination of knits and purls to form a pattern of rectangles. Garter stitch stripes transition to a border of open “dots.”
Yarn
Miss Babs Woodbury (65% Merino Wool/35% Tussah Silk; 400 yards/3.4 ounces/365 meters/97 grams),2 skeins, shown in Color A: Stonewashed and Color B: Frog Belly.
Or 400 yards/365 meters in Color A and 400 yards/366 meters in Color B of fingering weight yarn.
Finished Measurements
Approximately 76”/193 cm wide measured along the top edge, by 35”/89 cm from top edge to deepest point.
Needles
US 5 3.75 mm circular needle, 24”/60 cm or 32”/80 cm.
Gauge
19 Stitches and 28 Rows = 4”/10 cm square in garter stitch, blocked.
Gauge is not crucial for this project, but will affect yardage and finished size if different from above.
