Haboob
This pattern can be purchased individually or as a part of the Trade Winds Texture Collection.
A haboob is an intense dust storm carried on a weather front through arid regions. Its Arabic name means blasting or drifting. The winds move in the opposite direction from the travel of the storm, and in all directions into the storm. When the storm collapses, all the wind directions reverse, gusting outward from the storm. This muff takes this description a little literally, with twisted cable stitches and highly textured stitches, which are like particles of dust originating from the twisting cable storms. There is a certain poetry to hiding hands from the cold and wind inside the whirling patterns of the windstorm itself.
