Gyroscope
A simple yet effective beanie with vertical stripes. The colourwork in this Hat is made much easier due to it’s sideways construction. Ideal pattern to introduce the knitter to the techniques used throughout this book.
Correct sizing is dependant on row gauge for width and stitch gauge for length, with row gauge being the most important aspect to consider when subbing yarns.
For the sample knit for the book of this Hat, a round of single crochet was worked on the brim in MC to neaten up the edge, as suggested on page 6 of the book.
Requires: 50g/70m/77yds each of MC & CC
To fit size: 18/19 (20/21, 22/23) inches, 46/48,
(51/53, 56/58) cm
Finished size: 15 (17.5, 20) inches,
38 (44.5, 51) cm
