Grundy (Woman's)
by Ann Weaver
This is the sixth pattern in Craft Work Knit, my self-published collection of 10 new patterns.
Women need a Johnny Rotten inspired sweater, too. This pullover is a fitted, feminine version of a sweater Johnny Rotten wore during an infamous interview on the Bill Grundy show in 1976. I wanted to maintain the asymmetrical details and saddle shoulder construction of the original sweater, while updating it with soft, warm fibers and body darts for a slim fit.
The sleeves and body of the sweater are knit in the round from the bottom up and are joined at the yoke, which is worked in a modified version of Elizabeth Zimmermann’s “seamless hybrid” technique.
