Grindelwald is a beautiful village in Switzerland, accessible by train as it travels from Interlaken on the way up to Jungfrau. It is an amazing town with beautiful views, delicious foods and the feeling that you have landed in the middle of a postcard view. Mountain treks from Grindelwald in cool weather require something to warm the ears, but the whole head doesn’t need to be covered. An unlined merino earband does the trick.
Malabrigo Rios is soooo soft and warm and is perfect for this pretty, seeded cable earband. Quick to knit, finish it in time for Christmas and it will be worn throughout the winter. Any yarn that meets gauge can be used, just be sure it is soft so it won’t irritate the ear. This is a nice companion earband to my Knotty Cabled Earwarmer, also in Rios. Three lengths included, but easily customizable to wearer.
