Grid scarf
The Grid scarf is worked flat in one
continuous piece from end to end,
beginning and ending with simple
ribbing that transitions smoothly into
the cable pattern. It comes in three suggested
lengths (medium, long, and extra-long) but you
can also knit it to any length you prefer, making
it a versatile accessory that can be wrapped
comfortably in multiple ways.
SIZE
Medium (long, extra long)
Total length: 170 (195, 215) cm / 67 (76.75, 84.5)
inches.
Width: 21 cm / 8.25 inches.
YARN
490 (650, 750) m / 540 (720, 830) yards of bulky-
weight yarn.
Sample: 5 (6, 7) balls of Sandnes Garn Børstet
Alpakka (96% brushed alpaca, 4% nylon; 110 m /
120 yards per 50 g), shown in the colorway 6003.
NEEDLES
4 mm / US 6 circular needles with a cable of
40 cm / 16 inches for the ribbing.
5 mm / US 8 circular needles with a cable of
40 cm / 16 inches for the cable pattern.
GAUGE
26 sts and 34 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches of the cable
pattern on larger needles, after blocking.
Note: Always use the needle size that gives you
the right gauge!
