In celebration of Local Yarn Store Day, we created our fourth Road Trip mystery pattern knit along!

For the first three years, we journeyed through Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Florida. For the fourth year, we headed north--to the Great Lakes! We hit every state that borders the Great Lakes, along with a nod to Canada!

Please join us for our celebration of knitting and local yarn shops as we create a stunning, almost-crescent-shaped shawl featuring textures and designs inspired by various locations along the Great Lakes.

The shawl is designed to work with Manos Del Uruguay Alegria. Note that these skeins have a bit more yardage than most fingering-weight yarn. If you substitute, be sure you’ll have enough yarn.

We used beads. If you’re not a bead person, we’ll be giving directions for omitting the beads.
