The Grasslands shawl is a sampler shawl without seams. It is worked both flat and in the round, so while straight needles may be used for parts of the shawl, circular needles will be required for other parts of the shawl. The final shape of the shawl is customizable by changing how the sections are put together.

Instructions for all parts of the pattern are given in both written and charted form, save the cast on which is written only.

Gauge is not given for the pattern, there is a practice swatch with expected pre- and post-blocking dimensions and yardage use included.

Materials Needed:

• @700y of laceweight yarn
• 3.5mm (US 4) circular needles to work in the round
• Stitch marker to mark start/end of round

Optional Additional Materials:

• 3-4 additional stitch markers to mark repeat sections
• 3.5mm (US 4) straight needles
• Additional 47y of laceweight yarn for practice swatch
• 3.5mm (US 4) dpns
