Grass River Tunic
It’s Sweater Week! Now through February 13th, all Blue Bee Studio sweater designs are 25% off, no coupon code needed. Find the bundle here. Happy Sweater Week!
A mostly seamless design, Grass River begins with two separate shoulder pieces that are shaped with short rows, joined to form the upper back, then worked to the underarms. The fronts are picked up from the back’s cast-on edges and worked to the underarms where they are joined to the back.
From there, the bodice is worked in one piece to the empire line. The fronts are then joined at the center, and the body is worked in the round to the hem. Sleeves are picked up from the armscyes, their caps shaped with short rows, and then worked in the round to the cuff. Stitches are picked up for the neckband, which is worked back and forth. The ends of the neckband are sewn to the center front to finish.
