Graphic Bloom

Graphic Bloom is a bold motif with the energy of a comic book panel. Clean lines, high contrast, and pop-art attitude give this flower serious visual impact
It’s a join-as-you-go (JAYG) block made for storytelling through stitches — perfect for blankets, bags etc
Build your own graphic garden, one striking Kabloom! at a time

Materials needed:
Graphic Bloom was designed for any gauge. Meterage, hook size and final measurement will vary depending on your yarn choice. My samples are 14cm across, made from Fiddlesticks Marble from yarnmecalm.com.au and Flinders 8ply cotton. I used a 4 mm hook for the motif and a 4.5 mm for the surface embellishments
The meterage used was approximately:
Ink (e.g Black/Graphite Grey): 26 m
White: 15 m
Yellow: 3 m
Petal colours: 11 m
Stitch markers, Wool/darning needle
Recommended Hook size:
3-3.5 mm for 4ply, 3.5-4 mm for 8ply
Or hook appropriate for your chosen yarn weight
