I originally designed this blanket for a friend who loves to indulge in a glass of wine but I decided that was not an appropriate thing to add to a baby blanket. The ideal loophole was wine in its natural state – grapes!

This blanket is designed on a background of single crochet with the textured pattern of the bobble stitch for the grapes and front post double and front post treble crochet for the vines and stems. I did the patterned element in a second colour and carried the yarn behind my work the whole time; however this could also be done in a single colour or with only carrying the second colour for the grapes and vines section. This is personal preference.

This blanket is made of repeating grapevine motifs so can be adjusted to any size blanket that you want
