With gratitude and a nod to my crochet heritage from my great grandma to my mom, I designed this shawl using the traditional granny stitch look but I approached it from a different angle. This quick-to-hook shawl is worked from the bottom point up to the top. Make it as big or small as you like before working the top border and shell edging around the shawl in a second color of yarn. The sample was made with 635 yards of a DK weight yarn and bordered with 72 yards of a second DK weight yarn for a shawl that measured 62” neckline x 27” deep at the bottom point before blocking. You can make it with any weight of yarn by changing the hook size to suit the yarn. The amount of yarn you have will determine the size of your shawl. Have fun! The 4 page pattern has written instructions and two crochet charts.
