This motif combines the traditional granny square with a mitered square to create an interesting combination of lace and solid spaces. This is one of several motifs used in the Classic Granny with a Twist Blanket.

US Size I-9/5.5 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge.

Yarn needle.

Locking stitch marker or scrap yarn.
