Granny
Granny is a soft, roomy and shapely felted wool bag you’re sure to love. Made entirely in one piece with no seaming, this pattern is simple to follow ~ dare I say even meditative. Pattern includes instructions for the basic bag, which is ready for personal touches such as needle felting, embroidery, or just the perfect brooch. As a bonus, I’ve included two additional variations for easy-to-follow colorwork.
PDF includes 7 pages of step-by-step instructions, full color images + original illustrations to demonstrate pattern specifics, yarn recommendations, and complete felting instructions.
You’ll need 600-700 yards of worsted weight wool + US 13 (9mm) 32” circular needles.
Finished dimensions vary depending on yarn selection and the felting process – that said, whenever I make a Granny bag, the result is approximately 11” wide and 4-5” deep. Height depends on which variation you work up ~ anything from 9”-14” high.
