This is a three-quarter shawl with three equal sections. Each row has a stitch increase of 6 (2 yo for each section every RS row). There are also 2 “spine” stitches that run down the entire shawl. Stitch counts given are for the triangular sections between markers, not including the edge and spine stitches. Edges have a slight roll when flat but when worn edges are weighed down and appear flatter than pictured.
I was inspired by the symbols for fire, water, air, and earth, and astrology. The Trine is a harmonious connection between three aspects. It can also be understood as the trinity and triple goddess.
My goal here was to create something inspired by these eye pleasing characteristics for beginning lace knitters and good TV knitting sections. The product is a light but warm wool shawl with graphic detail.
