This mid-thigh length jacket is knit from the bottom hem up to the neckline, worked back and forth. The sleeves are worked in the round and then attached to the body, and are worked with raglan shaping up to the neckline. The front and neckline are finished with a contrast-color I-cord edging that also forms buttonhole loops. The hems and waist are decorated with colorwork patterns, and the hems are edged with a fold-under hem in a contrast color.

Main color: 5 (5, 6, 7, 7, 8, 9, 10) skeins
Contrast color one (pale blue): 1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3) skeins.
Contrast colors two and three: 1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2) skeins.

You will also need 7 (7, 7, 7, 9, 9, 9, 9) 1” buttons.

Inspiration: The Grand Canyon in the Southwest US is a major tourist destination in the summer, but my favorite time to visit the canyon is in the winter. The sunlight reflecting off the snow casts gorgeous shadows against the red cliffs of the canyon, and reflects off the waters moving swiftly in the gorge below.
