“My blouse design was inspired by sweaters worn in the 1940s and ’50s: figure-fitting, with interesting details in the collars, cuffs and shaping,” says Mary Henderson. “The lace pattern is based on branches and roots, while the Fair Isle has a floral feel, using dark, sophisticated colours with lighter hues to give some brightness.”
