Gradient Cake Cowl

The subtle color changes in the ever so popular gradient yarn selections made easy here with just one “Gradient” yarn cake. You simply start knitting and your cowl will change colors magically. No adding or deciding which is next, yet gives you the feel of having used multiple yarns.

This does make a great stash buster projects as well~
Help is given if you knit this from stash as to where you should switch your yarn.

Knitted bottom up and in the round starting with a bit of an intriguing lace stitch that makes for a such a pretty border, followed by one more simple lace section, otherwise all just knitted straight up. Cowl can be worn with either end up or down.

A chart is provided for the lace sections.

One Gradient yarn cake available at www.yarnz2GO.com.

Alternatively use various yarn weights from fingering to sport and worsted weight tied together or to be added when either the pattern tells you or when you feel like it. If you follow the pattern, you will need 10 different yarns, but you can always use more or less. This also a great project for using up ones stash!
