The design for this blanket and cushion was inspired by images of muscle fibres. The bundles of striated fibres are represented in waves of knitting to create a stylish and contemporary blanket. The cushion complements the blanket with vibrant waves of bright colours.

The blanket knits up as approximately single bed size (120 cm by 180 cm) and you can make it larger or smaller by adding or taking away multiples of 10 stitches.

You will need a cushion pad measuring approximately 36 cm by 53 cm.

There is plenty of yarn to make both the blanket and at least one cushion. Stylecraft Bellissima and Bambino yarns are a delight to work with and come in a range of beautiful colours.
