This light and airy scarf reminds me of picket fences and neatly pruned boxwood hedges on, let’s just say, a bucolic country lane in a Jane Austen novel. Beads on each edge give it the pleasant sparkle of conversation with neighbors met on a balmy summer evening’s stroll… Or, snapping back to reality, it calls to mind more… dynamic… city backyards. In summer that’s where we play and eat and cook and garden and nap and generally do everything we can. Being packed in somewhat more tightly together than the refined landed gentry of Victorian England, I find myself thinking that the only thing lovelier than a nice, solid fence is this handsome scarf!
Notions: Tapestry needle, 68 size 6/0 seed beads (buy extra to be safe!).
Skill level: Advanced beginner.
