Since first using this stitch pattern on a shawl earlier this year, I’ve been eager to play with it more—I’m so enamored with the faux vertical striping it creates! You’ll love watching the pattern form as you knit these socks from the toe up, and shorty socks are ideal for using leftovers that aren’t quite enough for a full pair. Mix the zaniest yarn in your leftovers bin with a staid solid color for a more predictable project or combine two variegated yarns for something completely off the wall. And, as always recommended, swap your colors on the second sock for a playful pair!
