Gone Fishin' Valance
The valance features a life-size rainbow trout rising out of the water to catch a perfectly-placed fly. It is worked from side to side and includes a repeat in the pattern to increase the width of the valance to fit your window. The rod pocket is built into the design to fit a 5/8” diameter curtain rod. A detailed chart is included for reference. Skill Level: Intermediate.
Finished Size:
18-1/4” to 22” long (from top of rod pocket)
51” wide
Pattern repeat = 10-1/4” wide
Gauge:
Working in filet pattern:
10 blocks/spaces = 3-1/2”
11 rows = 3-1/2”
Approximately 1400 yards are needed to complete the valance, with an extra 220 yards needed for each additional pattern repeat.
