The shawl is worked from the striped main body down to a deep lace section and then finished with a second lace border. Shawl is worked back and forth from the center top out, increasing by 4 stitches every RS row.
Edge increases are worked as yarn-overs on RS rows—immediately after the first 3 stitches, and before the last 3 stitches of every row.
Center increases are worked as directional Make one stitches (M1R and M1L) on either side of the center spine stitch on RS rows only.
The first and last stitches of every row are worked in garter stitch (knit on both RS and WS rows).

Gauge:
15 sts x 25 rows = 4” x 4” (10cm x 10cm) in Stockinette stitch
