Glorious texture - plain and simple …
There are days when I crave complex knitting and there are days when all I need is the soothing clicking of my needles and simple stitches - this hat was designed for those days when your soul needs soothing but your brain just wants a ‘wee’ rest…
Golden Monkey has oodles of stylish slouch or the brim can be folded for extra cosy ears. It makes a fabulous everyday hat and is a joy to knit.
Inspired by Golden Monkey tea from Pekoe Tea in Edinburgh.
“Golden Monkey is a black tea from Fujian Province, China. Legend has it that Golden Monkey gets its name because it was was picked by specially trained monkeys from bushes that were inaccessible to humans. It is made from early harvested young buds which give it its golden colour.”
