Show off your Lion Pride with these magical socks. A lightning bolt pattern flashes over the legs, but without too much complexity… these socks are perfect for beginners looking to tackle a non-vanilla sock pattern.

Skill Level: Adventurous beginner—These socks are patterned entirely with knits and purls. If you know basic sock construction
(or are willing to jump into it and follow the pattern), you
can knit this pattern.

Materials
Approximately 350-400 yards (320-365m) of sock yarn.
Obviously, in red or gold! (Or not). The socks pictured here
are a size large and used ~385yds of Silk Sock from
Redfish Dyeworks

Needles & Tools
US1 (2.25mm) sock needles. The pattern can be followed
with either DPNs or a long circular needle, using the
Magic Loop method. You will also need a tape measure, tapestry needle, and scissors.

Gauge & Sizing
Gauge: 32 stitches and 36 rounds per four inches or
10cm, measured in stockinette stitch.

Sizing: Small (Medium, Large, Extra-large) socks measure
8(9,10,11) inches around—and the pattern is quite elastic.
