The goats of Inversnaid
One download includes both patterns for hat & gauntlets.
Also available as a kit from Kate’s shop.
In the areas of rough, brushy woodland that connect Loch Lomond, Loch Katrine, and Loch Ard live several small herds of feral goats. Much beloved by walkers of the West Highland Way, goat and human paths frequently cross near Inversnaid, which is where I’ve most often come across them. With their shaggy black coats and long curving horns, the Inversnaid goats are spectacularly beautiful and characterful beasts. So, if you are out walking by Loch Lomond and smell a distinctive cheesy aroma, look up into the rocks and trees, and keep your eye out for friendly goats.
These cosy gauntlets are worked from the bottom up and feature an afterthought thumb.
