The body and head are crafted separately, with only the head being filled with stuffing.
A cardboard tube is inserted in the neck area to provide support. You can repurpose the core of aluminium foil or cling film for this. Both Blue Gnome and Santa follow the same fundamental body pattern, differing only in the outfit. The jumper is removable.
The crochet hook is used for picking up stitches creating chains. It does not necessarily have to be exactly 3mm.
