This pattern is designed to use 2 or 6 colors, though it is easily adaptable. Each colors is used only once so you can get extra height by working each clue’s repeat until you’ve used your whole mini. Make your cowl wider or narrower by adjusting your cast on in multiples of 12.

Cowl is worked bottom-up in the round.
