Unisex ribbed hats are knitted with two different gauges.
Information above is for worsted weight yarn.
Suggested gauge is 20sts with suggested needle size on the yarn label.
Since this is a ribbed hat, please use one size smaller size needle.
The instruction also comes with Aran weight yarn.
Suggested gauge is 18sts with suggested needle size on the yarn label. Please use one size smaller needle to knit this hat.

If you wish to make a bigger hat, you could follow worsted weight instruction with Aran weight yarn.
