Glenariff
The Name
Glenariff Forest Park in county Antrim, Northern Ireland is home to majestic waterfalls, tranquil pools and meandering woodland trails – let the calming and soothing nature of these cables transport you to this peaceful retreat.
Whether it’s the icy Spring winds that show only promises of warmer weather or the cold, blustery winds of Fall and Winter, Glenariff will wrap you in the warmth that only cables can give.
This lusciously cabled scarf relies mainly on traditional cables -- cables in the same row cross in the same direction. There are a few exceptions, though, so vigilance is required. The pattern consists of three complimentary cable elements that mirror the pattern around a centre-point at the back neck. The scarf begins with a provisional cast on so that an I-Cord bind off can be worked on both ends.
Both charts and written instructions for charts are provided. All pattern instructions are contained in this document and therefore must be referenced when working with the written instructions for charts (included as a separate PDF).
