A cosy cowl, knitted in the round, using a diamond lace pattern with a pretty edging that can be blocked into soft or more dramatic points with a picot edging or a plain bind-off.

Quick to knit in laceweight or 4-ply yarn using basic stitches and pattern on alternate rounds only - suitable for a confident beginner or intermediate knitter. An ideal introduction to knitting in the round.

The pattern can easily be adapted to make a larger circumference cowl if required - double the length to wear as a loop, scarf-style, or wrap twice around the neck; or increase in smaller increments if required.

Errata

In the edging instructions for Row 25, the repeat section should read dec5to1, yo, k2, yo, k1, yo, k2, sl1, k2tog, psso, k2, yo, k1, yo, k2, yo
The chart is correct.
