Perhaps you love beautiful self-striping sock yarn like I do. But sometimes you want to make something besides socks with it. These sweet little mitts show off that beautiful self-striping yarn in a fun way. These mitts are knit in the round from the bottom-up and feature an afterthought thumb.
This pattern has been tested and tech edited.
Materials
1 skein of Nomadic Yarns Twisty Sock self-striping or 30 yards of fingering weight yarn for contrast color.
1 skein of Miss Babs Yummy 2-Ply fingering or 133 yards of fingering weight yarn for main color.
2.25 mm (US 1) and 2.75 mm (US 2) circular or double-pointed needles or size needed for correct gauge.
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle
Gauge and Measurements
32 sts. and 36 rounds per 4” in colorwork pattern using larger sized needles.
Final Measurement: 8” circumference x 7.“
