Questo è un modello a cui mi è piaciuto tantissimo lavorare, entusiasmante dall’ inizio alla fine, vedere i motivi che si susseguivano uno dietro l’ altro e la stola che cresceva diventando sempre più bella, ha tenuto alto il mio interesse per tutto il tempo senza mai annoiarmi, sono sicura che sarà lo stesso per chi sceglierà questa stola preziosa.
Le ripetizioni del motivo, nel loro insieme, creano un bellissimo effetto finale, visivamente d’ impatto; può sembrare una lavorazione complicata, ma in realtà non lo è .
L’ispirazione per questa stola è arrivata da più parti: il colore del filato, il filato stesso che definisce ed esalta il motivo delle mezze foglie, l’ avvicinarsi della mia stagione preferita: l’ autunno.
Ginkgo è ispirata, appunto, alle foglie, che danno il meglio di sé proprio in questa stagione con la loro meravigliosa tavolozza di colori, in particolare ho trovate molte similitudini con le foglie del Ginkgo Biloba, un albero maestoso e spettacolare nella sua veste autunnale, quando le foglie tramutano in uno splendido giallo, vivo e luminoso; nell’ insieme quest’ albero diventa un faro dorato che illumina la naturale e romantica melanconia dell’ autunno. Il colore del filato e il motivo mi richiamavano proprio le caratteristiche foglie di quest’ albero: divise a metà, alla base, a formare due lobi simmetrici.
La stola e’ reversibile, indossabile da entrambi i lati e regolabile in larghezza.

Ginkgo e’ interamente lavorata con il punto brioche, che si ottiene con la mezza maglia alta modificata in costa dietro e il motivo e’ modellato con le righe brevi.
Ha una lavorazione orizzontale, cioe’ si lavora nel senso della lunghezza.
Dopo una prima riga lunga, il motivo si sviluppa su poche maglie per essere poi ripetuto per tutta la lunghezza della stola, infine tutte le istruzioni si ripetono e la stola cresce nel senso della larghezza.
Per la stola ho ripetuto le istruzioni altre 3 volte, se invece preferite una sciarpa basteranno altre 2 ripetizioni, in questo caso occorreranno circa 1200 mt di filato fingering.

Materiale:
Filato: circa 1500 mt di filato fingering,
io ho usato: SIMPLY MERINO della tintora italiana Colantonio Teresa, 100% merino, 100 gr/400 mt.
Uncinetto: 3,5 mm

Campione:
20 m x 24 r = 10 x 10 cm, lavorato con la mezza maglia alta modificata in costa dietro, con l’ uncinetto 3,5 mm (misurato dopo il lavaggio e il bloccaggio).

Misure finali: Lunghezza: 170 cm Larghezza: 50 cm

This is a project that I really enjoyed working on, exiting from start to finish, seeing the motifs that followed one after the other and the stole that grew becoming more and more beautiful, kept my interest high all the time, without ever getting bored, I’ m sure it will be the same for those who choose this precious stole.
The repetitions of the motif, taken together, create a beautiful final effect, visually impacting; it may seem like a complicated process, but in reality it’ s not.
The inspiration for this stole came from many places: the color of the yarn, the yarn itself that defines and enhances the motif of the half leaves, the approach of my favorite season: Autumn.
Ginkgo is inspired, in fact, by the leaves, which give the best of themselves this season with their wonderful color palette, in particular I found many similarities with the leaves of Ginkgo Biloba, a majestic and spectacular tree in its autumnal dress, when the leaves turn into a splendid yellow, bright and luminous, as a whole, this tree becomes a “golden beacon” that illuminates the natural and romantic melancholy of Autumn.
The color of the yarn and the motif reminded me of the characteristic leaves of this tree: divided in half, at the base, to form two symmetrical lobes.
The stole is reversible, can be worn on both sides and it is adjustable in width.

Ginkgo is worked entirely with the brioche stitch which is obtained with yoslstblo stitch and the motif is modeled with short rows.
It’ s worked horizontally, that is lengthwise. After one first long row, the motif develops over a few stitches and is repeated for the entire length of the stole, finally all the instructions are repeated and the stole grows in the sense of width.
For the stole I repeated the instructions 3 more times, if you prefer a scarf, 2 more repetitions will be enough, in this case about 1200 meters of fingering yarn will be needed.

Hook: 3,5 mm US 4/E

Gauge: 20 sts x 24 rows = 10x10/4”x4” measured after blocking.
