Nordic Gingerbread house is a crochet pattern for making a classic Christmas decoration.

Making a Gingerbread House with yarn and a crochet hook or baking a sweet and crunchy house with loads of sugar decorations are both a challenge. But this one doesn’t disappears after the Christmas lunch!

You can make it as small ornament (using the suggested yarn listed below) or using DK/aran weigh yarn to create a lovely centerpiece for your Christmas table.

It is NOT a finished item, it is a PDF pattern to make the Gingerbread House with your hands, yarn and a crochet hook

This is an 8 pages PDF amigurumi pattern (with step by step photos) - Available in English (US terms) and Italian.

Materials (NOT included)

• fingering weight cotton yarn in caramel and white (yarn used for this sample is Sesia Cablè 5, 50g/215m)
• size 7 (1,5 mm) crochet hook
• polystyrene sheets (5 mm thick)
• cardboard (1 or 2 mm thick)
• sewing pins
• tapestry needle

Skill level: advanced

Size: approx. 4” / 10 cm tall when made with the indicated or similar yarn

Notes: to make this crochet house isn’t necessary to use the recommended yarn and crochet hook. Using a larger crochet hook, and suitable yarn, the item will be bigger preserving the same proportions.

Construction: The house is formed by 5 main pieces (front, back, base + side facades and 2 roof pieces) and all the decorations. All the pieces are worked separately and then sewn to the polystyrene structure.

Schema per realizzare a uncinetto la Casa di Pan di Zenzero in stile nordico, la rivisitazione moderna di un classico della tradizione natalizia.

Realizzare una casetta di pan di zenzero all’uncinetto e sporcarsi le mani con farina zucchero e uova sono entrambe una bella sfida.
Ma questa fatta di cotone, non scomparirà dopo il pranzo di Natale!

Potrai realizzarla con il filato indicato nello schema (e più sotto nei materiali) per creare una raffinata miniatura da usare come decorazione oppure lavorando con un filato più spesso otterrai una casetta che sarà un vero e proprio centrotavola natalizio!

Misura: circa 10 cm in altezza se realizzata con il filato indicato (o simili)

Note: Per realizzare questa casetta non è indispensabile utilizzare il filato e l’uncinetto consigliato. Utilizzando un uncinetto più grande ed un filato adatto l’amigurumi finale sarà più grande mantenendo le stesse proporzioni.
