These mini knit Christmas stockings are constructed from the top down with a short row heel, similar to a foot sized sock, but on a much smaller scale.

The sock is approximately 2 inches wide and 5 inches long and can be used as an ornament, a gift card holder, or both.

Each sock only uses about 30 yd of yarn, so it would be a nice, little stash buster project.

The hanging loop is crocheted, but you could easily stitch on a narrow ribbon instead.
