Made with Ecotton, an organic yarn with natural dyes, this design was inspired by nature. The lace stitch seamlessly blends the leaf design with high branches, the same as in the wild bushes that occasionally transform into brooms - the ‘Giestas’ (scotch brooms in portuguese).

It’s a top-down seamless sweater. It starts with short rows shaped shoulders, which helps fit perfectly the body design. In the armholes, front and back pieces are joined and knit in circular to the hem. Here we return to short row shaping, extending the back and creating the rounded hem that lightens the front and prolongs the beautiful design of the back. In the end, the sleeves are knitted from picked up stitches around the armhole, in circular down to the wrists. The difficulty of this sweater is at the beginning, in the first rows of the back where the lace stitch and short rows happen simultaneously requiring a little more attention. But the pattern includes both charts and detailed written instructions, and after these starting rows, everything gets much simpler!

GAUGE: 21 sts and 32 rows - 10x10 cm in stockinette stitch with 3,5 mm needle (if necessary, adjust the needle size to match the gauge)

Uma camisola de inspiração campestre, tricotada em algodão orgânico e com tingimento natural. O ponto escolhido conjuga o desenho de folhas com os ramos altos, mesmo como nos bravios arbustos que de vez em quando viram vassouras, mas que também decoram as entradas no inicio de Maio - as Giestas.

Esta camisola é tricotada de cima para baixo e sem costuras. Começa pelos ombros com carreiras encurtadas que os recortam para que se ajustem na perfeição ao desenho do corpo. Nas cavas frente e costas são unidas e tricotadas em circular até à baínha. Aqui voltamos a utilizar carreiras encurtadas para prolongar o desenho das costas e aligeirar a frente, criando a baínha arredondada. No final as mangas são tricotadas a partir de malhas apanhadas em redor da cava, em circular até aos punhos.
A dificuldade desta camisola está no inicio, nas primeiras carreiras das costas em que o ponto rendado e as carreiras encurtadas acontecem em simultâneo exigindo um pouco mais de atenção. Mas o esquema inclui gráficos e instruções escritas detalhadas, e depois destas primeiras carreiras fica tudo muito mais simples!
