Giantess I & II
The Giantess Crochet Patterns are highly textured patterns made from 2 related squares and a framing border pattern. The large square is 20 inches (50 cm), and the small square is 13 inches (33 cm) and is designed based on the corners of its larger counterpart.
When joined, three of the small squares are the same size as two of the large, leaving creative freedom to experiment with your layout. The border will work with the pattern regardless of the layout you choose. If you have the skills to crochet a granny square and are a little adventurous, Giantess is within your grasp.
The pattern includes:
- full written instructions,
- round by round photographs
- detailed explanations of any tricky bits
- charts
- links to videos for both squares
- yarn requirements for two optional layouts and
- guidance to calculate yarn requirements for your own customised layouts.
The Giantess patterns are written for a single colour, as using one colour showcases the texture of the patterns beautifully and creates a timeless result. However, if you are inspired to experiment with colour and personalise your crochet, you are absolutely able to do so! I have provided a couple of examples of options for colour changing.
The PDF pattern is comprehensive, but the written pattern has been condensed to as few pages as possible. I encourage you to only print the written pattern to work from, referring to the PDF digitally for any extra help you need.
The pattern is available in both UK or US terms – just choose the version you’d prefer.
Available in my book Granny Square Patchwork - available as an ebook, paperback and hardcover book.
