Giant neck cozy

I felt the need to create a simple cowl that stays up to keep me warm enough for walking our dog Percy, on those brisk mornings. So I used a Yarnz2go Giant cake to create this easy oversized ribbed, knitted in the round cowl. It works perfectly, as it stays in place and warms my neck beautifully.

The unblocked dimensions are: Circumference 23” (ribbing stretched out) Height 6.5”.

Yarn
1 Giant yarn cake in a bulky weight.
200 yards/150 grams in a thick and thin
30% linen/70% cotton yarn.
Held double throughout to create a super bulky weight, which works perfectly with 1 strand from the inside and 1 from the outside of the cake.

Notions needed
US size 7 (4.5 mm) circular needle 16” (41 cm) in length.
1 Stitch marker
Darning needle or crochet hook for finishing.

Gauge
12 sts and 4 rows in 4” of Stockinette stitch.
