My son is now officially a teenager. He is the kind of teenager that wears as little as possible in the coldest of temperatures. Unfortunately, the east coast is not setup to just wear a sweatshirt in the wintertime.

The only cold weather item he wears is an old army jacket of his fathers. I designed the GI Ty scarf to match this jacket. The scarf has a bit of lace in it. But, we will keep that between us if you don’t mind.

I had been hit hard by the lace bug and love to design with lace all the time. Creating a scarf that will meet his needs and my knitting style has been a bit difficult but I love how this came out.
The scarf is reversible and you can choose which side is the right side. The design resembles the army motif and I love the army green color. This is a great scarf for any guy and it is easy and fun to knit.

You can use any type of yarn in any weight to make this scarf. You should change to the recommended needles on the yarn selected and go up a few sizes. This will give the correct gauge for the yarn you have chosen. It may alter the width and length.
