Delicate rows of Solomon’s knots are just the thing to make a dainty spring shawl.
Designer Becky Skuse says: “Solomon’s knot is such a simple stitch to work, but it’s also really satisfying. The fabric is so beautifully lacy and it grows pretty fast so you can just sit back and relax while enjoying the gentle rhythm of hooking the yarn. This simple shawl is a great first project, giving you the chance to practice making Solomon’s knots until your shawl is the size you want.” We used just one ball of 4ply cotton yarn for this, although feel free to use more to make it bigger, or even use a special yarn embellished with beads, sequins or metallic threads to give your shawl a touch of bling. Fancy!
