Gentle Jacket
This jacket is made in a 1940’s style, when military style fashions were popular. The shoulder wings are reminiscent to military uniforms.
Size: 28 to 32 (32 to 38)
Gauge: 4 stitches to inch (3.5 stitches to inch)
Yarn: A; fine weaving yarn, two-ply; 6 ounces.
Needles:
- No. 10 (11)
- No. 9 for border
- No. 5 for cuffs
Chart: one box = 4 stitches or 4 ridges.
Units: 4 divided squares
To knit: This jacket, except for its borders at neck, cuffs and around the jacket, is made of four divided squares only: one divided square makes the right side of jacket, front and back; another the left side. The remaining two make the full sleeves.
To wear: Fasten beads at neckline, front and at shoulders, allowing sufficient chain to tie at each shoulder; one tie inside and one out.
