This shawl is crocheted entirely in slip stitches. The pattern is based on a wonderful feature of crochet: With each stitch, you are free to take your stitches in a new direction. Out of this feature I developed a technique of crocheting with long rows, resembling Peano curves. For those who are not mathematicians: A Peano curve fills an area by twisting and turning fractally. The result for crochet is a shawl with few but very long rows. The lace border enhances the lightness of the shawl.

The pattern includes written instructions and photo tutorials for the stitches, for decreases and for my technique of working in long rows. The stitches used are regular slip stitch (slst), inverse slip stitch (islst), front loop only slip stitch (F), and inverse back loop only slip stitch (iB).

Dieses Tuch wird aus Kettmaschen gehäkelt. Es nutzt die wunderbare Eigenschaft des Häkelns, dass man bei jeder Masche neu entscheiden kann, in welche Richtung sie gearbeitet wird. Daraus habe ich ein Häkeln mit langen Reihen entwickelt, was ein bisschen wie eine Peanokurve funktioniert. Für die Nichtmathematiker: Eine Peanokurve füllt eine Fläche, indem sie sich immer mehr in sich verschachtelt. Das Resultat für die Häkelversion ist ein Tuch mit wenigen, dafür sehr langen Reihen. Der Lacerand betont die Leichtigkeit es Tuches.

Die Anleitung ist schriftlich, mit bebilderten Lehrgängen für die verschiedenen Kettmaschen, die Abnahmen und für die ungewöhnliche Konstruktion mit meinen verlängerten Reihen. Man braucht normale Kettmaschen, von links eingestochene Kettmaschen, vorn eingestochene Kettmaschen (V) und von links hinten eingestochene Kettmaschen (liH).
