Gavrinis
This shawl was inspired by the carvings found on stones in the Neolithic tomb on the island of Gavrinis in the Gulf of Morbihan in Brittany, France. These detailed carvings reminded me of fingerprints. I knit the motif described as a “shield”.
This pattern can be worked as part of a semicircular shawl, or as a rectangular shawl. All charts are also available in written form in the pattern.
This was my 7th annual Tour de France KAL pattern.
