Gates wrap
Enjoy my new Gates wrap pattern as a free download through June 6th, after that it will be listed at 50% off through June the 9th. Do me a favor and add the pattern to your faves, I would very much appreciate it and wish you happy knitting.
This wrap definitely has a fun organic, even whimsical look to it. You can knit yours like I did from a convenient kit kit, which comes right now with a great matching and free shawl pin and a savings of 15%.
Right now add 2 patterns to cart and pay for only one~
It is a modular knit but no worries there is no seaming involved and the knitting is really easy. There is a simple slip stitch pattern, a cool - yet easy lace pattern and relaxing garter stitch that gets used in the last portion. You even get a free shawl pin with your kit to hold it in place and we all can use an extra one, right?
You can wear it either right or wrong side up, for different textures.
The pattern is fully written, offers two charts and a photo tutorial for the finishing touches.
The wrap when blocked, measures 41” around the top, 45” around the bottom and 15” in height.
Yarn
3 skeins of Yarnz2go’s exclusive new Stipple yarn, a wonderfully textured fingering weight yarn. Each skein is wound to order and holds 120 yards with two strands of super lightweight yarns, one is a thick and thin cotton, the other either a cotton or could be linen as well depending on color. The color ways compliment or contrast one another.
Notions needed
US size 7 (4.5 mm) circular needle 32” (81 cm) in length and this is optional, for Part 2 of the pattern you may prefer a set of straight needles.
Lockable stitch markers, 16 used during finishing.
Tapestry needle for finishing.
Techniques applied:
Knitting, purling, slipping stitches, knitting stitches together, yarn overs, binding off, picking up stitches to be knit, weaving in ends and connecting two sections of the wrap with strands of yarn with a fun and simple double knot treatment.
Gauge: 13 sts and 30 rows in 4” of stockinette stitch
Enjoy your project and do share pics if you get to knit one~
