These mittens use a repeating geometric centre panel to evoke fall leaves, acorns, or maybe hollyhocks.
For everyone who has ever shied away from knitting intricate fingering-weight mittens, give these DK-weight mittens a try!
Materials:
Set of 5 DPNs, size 3 mm or 3.25 mm, or size to get gauge
~ 200 yds of Main Colour (double knitting weight)
~ 200 yds of Contrast Colour A (double knitting weight)
Tapestry needle; 2 scrap pieces of yarn for thumb.
Gauge:
17 sts and 16 rows = 2” across palm; Final measurements: 3
½” across by 10” long
