Yarn
Fingering weight held double

The marled fabric holding two strands of fingering weight together results in a DK weight gauge

Yardage
Approximately 1900 (2100, 2600, 3100, 3600) (4100, 4600, 5100, 5600)yds / 1737 (1920, 2377, 2835, 3292) (3749, 4206, 4663, 5121)m total

These yardage estimations are overestimated a bit, so you should have more than enough yarn to complete your sweater. I recommend getting a big pile of yarn so you have more than enough color choices to work with as you knit.

The yardage estimations are for the total yarn amount using fingering weight held double.

Shown in
A variety of fingering weight yarns including Qing Fibre Dashing Sassy & High Twist BFL, Undercover Otter Squirm Sock & Singularity, West Wool Bicycle, West Wool Glowhair, Walk Collection Cottage Merino, & Life in the Long Grass Singles.

US 7 / 4.5mm circular in 40″ / 100cm length or size needed to obtain gauge

Notions
1 stitch marker, tapestry needle, waste yarn, ten 1″ / 2.5cm buttons, 10 split ring markers

20 sts & 38 rows = 4″ / 10cm in garter stitch after blocking using larger needles

Errata
26-08-22 - The Left Buttonband measurment was corrected in this new PDF. The bottom left column of Page 9 should read, “Repeat last 2 rows twice more or until ribbing measures approximately 1” / 2.5cm.” This correction is reflected in the new PDF garter_marler_cardigan_3.pdf
