Pattern description from Weekend Knitting: “Use this versatile pattern to make gloves, fingerless gloves or mittens. The garter-stitch cuff - worked in a solid color or in multiple colors - ends the otherwise classic design a new and interesting twist. The pattern also includes instructions for an optional loop at the edge of the cuff, a handy detail for folks who want to hang their gloves on a hook for safekeeping.”
