GARDEN GODDESS
PART OF A THREE-PATTERN 26 PAGE BOOKLET
Garden Goddess is a feast of joyous stitches growing upward into a jubilant mix across chest and shoulders. This a sensuous knit, very feminine in form, with shaping to highlight a waist where there is one while creating the illusion of one where there’s not. It’s surprisingly flattering to many body shapes as all the extravagant stitchery is kept across the shoulders and chest rather than below. The upper realm is very roomy and comfortable with loosely draping sleeves.
The stitch is feather & fan shaped to the body with seed stitch sides which can easily be increased for sizing preference. The effect of the central stitch work creates the waist shaping while a feast of drop and garter on larger needles blossoms the effect in a graceful curve across the shoulders, framing the face and neck.
Knit in a mix of yarns, this is a perfect stash-buster. Use silk, linen, cotton on smaller needles for the bottom half, moving up in needle size and using thicker yarns like ribbons, DK-weight or yarns doubled for the upper. Total yardage: approximately 600 yards.
On piece shown: Total width from sleeve to sleeve= 40 inches/99 cm
Total measurements at waist = 36 inches
Measurements are increased for sizing by casting on more stitches initially and by increasing seed stitches at sides.
