Knit in bulky Hinterland Watershed for the utmost softness and warmth, the Gambier Jacket is a staple for the coastal
Pacific climate. Featuring simple colour work in muted tones, the body is worked from the bottom up in one piece.
After joining sleeves at underarm, the yoke is shaped with raglan decreases and the button band and collar are picked
up and worked separately, creating a cozy shawl collar. Gambier features extended length and set-in pockets for added warmth.

GAUGE
Using US 11 / 8mm needles, 13 stitches and 19 rows = 4” /
10 cm in colour chart 3.

Note about gauge: in suggested yarn, colour work
charts tend to come out tighter than single- colour
stockinette after wet-blocking. Pattern has been written to
accommodate the slight difference, though knitter should
aim to work both at the same gauge.

How is this Gambier different from Shaun’s Gambier?



Shaun’s Gambier features a shorter body, larger upper arm circumference relative to the chest circumference, corresponding raglan decreases, and contrasting pocket linings.
