Galway Blanket Club
This blanket club celebrates the unique Galway heritage yarn.
Club patterns designed by Carol Feller, Laura Perrem and Eimear Earley.
This blanket has 12 different squares in a variety of cabled and textured stitches.
The Lap size will have 12 squares in total; 3 wide by 4 deep for a finished size of 30” x 40” / 76 cm x 101.5 cm
The Throw size will have 20 squares in total; 4 wide by 5 deep for a finished size of 40” x 50” / 101.5 cm x 127 cm.
You can use any combination of squares you wish, with repeats of squares needed for the larger, throw size. You may repeat a few of your favourites or perhaps keep them all different. The throw will have 8 repeated squares as there are 12 different designs given in this pattern.

YARN
Stolen Stitches ‘Gaillimh’ (100% Galway wool; 208 yds / 190 m per 3.6 oz / 100 g)
Maximum Yardage per square: 104 yds / 95 m
1124 (1960) yds / 1026 (1790) m in total including finishing.
NEEDLES & NOTIONS
US size 6 / 4 mm circular or straight needles, any length
Always use a needle size that gives you the gauge listed, as every knitter’s gauge is unique.
4 stitch markers, cable needle, tapestry needle, US size 7 / 4.5 mm crochet hook for joining squares, US size 6 / 4 mm double pointed needles or short circular needle for I-Cord edging.
